  • I am starting my fast diet tomorrow, I work on the night shift so I don’t know if it will be a help or not,I am over sixty an have arthritis in both knees, so at the moment it’s a bit of a struggle walking,I am going to try swimming to see if that helps.

    Hi Brads27,

I’m a shift worker myself and I find that I use the day after my last nightshift as one of my fasting days. I find that to be the day that I’m least hungry, so yes I think it does help. The diet certainly has worked for me so far, I dropped 12 kgs in 3 months and I wasn’t all that strict over Xmas. Yes swimming is a good option for low impact exercise. I hope it goes well for you, good luck.

I am going to start my fast tomorrow, I don’t get up until 1 pm, I will have a meal at 7pm and maybe a snack at 11-30pm then nothing until 7pm on Tuesday, this will be my second fast day.

9 hours into my first day, I went swimming this afternoon and swam for an hour, had my food at 5pm and have 120 calories left, so may have a banana when I get to work

Good job, I fasted yesterday as well, weighed myself this morning and am down 1kg. Once you get into a routine that works for you it becomes easier.

Thanks Mark, was going to fast again but changed my mind, may do Thursday.

Got weighed and have lost 5.9 kg, part of this will have come from the week before I started the fast diet, still happy with the loss.

Well done Brad, stick to it. The last week hasn’t been all that successful for me as I haven’t been strictly true to the diet, but next week I should be back in the right frame of mind will be back on track.

Not sure if i will get weighed weekly or every 2 weeks,You will be ok Mark.
