First Day!

  • Hi! Its my first day on the 5:2 diet and I’m really hoping this will finally help my lose the weight!! I’m 5’3″ and weigh 138 lbs. I want to get down to 120-125.
    Would love to get and give support to anyone that needs it!

    Good for you. It really does work I am 6 weeks in and have lost 7 kilos and need to lose another 25 but feel a bit guilty because so far it has not been hard it is becoming a way of life. Starting more exercise this week because I feel like it.

    7 kilos is a great loss! how many calories do you eat on the 5 days?

    Hi Mayancoh, the first day of many great days for you from now on 🙂 I’m around your height too but need to lose more weight than you do. I’m sure once you are into the swing of things with the fast days you will do really well. I’m 6 weeks in and have lost almost 5kg with about 15 to go which allows me a couple of kilos for a buffer zone once I reach my goal.

    Hi Chipmunk1961, goodness don’t feel guilty because you have found a way to lose weight without it being incredibly hard 🙂 It’s actually awesome that you find the 5:2 an easier way of eating to maintain than the regular “dieting” regimes we all put ourselves through at times which can often be so unmotivating. You’re doing brilliantly and deserve to feel so proud of yourself.

    Hi Mayancoh.

    I’m the same height and started at 130lb and am now 127 after a week and a half. I’m hoping to get rid of another 5lb but I’m also doing it for the health benefits. I found using the tracker really good as I’ve put my weight in each day to see how eating the number of calories in relation to my TDEE works. I found that if I eat my TDEE I put on a bit of weight. Once I’ve worked out what I can/can’t eat I’ll stop counting calories.

    Anyway, I hope your first day wasn’t too bad.
