Disappointed with the coats so didn’t buy……the assistants were useless…..the guy who helped last week was off on holiday, he was really good..
We went to a Scunthorpe Park to see how it was this afternoon …really lovely and large…Charlie and I will go there while I wait for Steve on Monday morning as he has his procedure ……killing two to three hours..too far to come home and go back..too long to leave the boy at home…I will go to pets at home, for doggie bits…
A fasting day so no treats while waiting…

Just finished our meal it was really lovely, a different sort of recipe but tasty, the crackling was spot on…far too much really, quantity was going back to the old days…I left quite a lot…having a glass of wine now. Definitely do again with smaller portions…
A lazy night…a dog show at our local park tomorrow, thought we would go and have a look and take the boy with us…he will have to be on his lead as it will be busy….a change…

Salmon with chilli & lime for dinner- well eldest & me, hubby & youngest have plain, different veggies/ carbs for all of them! Xena is right of her dog food- even mixing cheese or tuna in she picks it out! She’s not lost any weight, but not hard enough to leave her til she’s hungry, so liquidised some cooked kidney for her, stirred it in & a nice clean bowl now, spoilt dog!
Kay- shame spending the sunny spells in the car, always seems to be the way! Have a good evening & enjoy the weekend!

Have you missed me? Looks like you’re all doing amazing.
Last night of our hols as we travel back tomorrow after 2 weeks away. Had the most wonderful time, probably best holiday ever. Looking forward to seeing Woof though.
Will be interesting to see what the scales say. We haven’t over eaten at all, just had what we fancied which usually was nice breakfast then either lunch or dinner but not both. Not big portions and lots of steps.
Our final night on the summer solstice sitting outside in the sunshine – amazing.
Need to get back in check from next week and back to running. I took my trainers but either too hot or we had walked 10 miles and just too tired to run.

Way too much junk last night – can’t say I really enjoyed it. I WILL enjoy the takeaway tonight, though and then that is it.

Bright day and off to our RSPCA dog show this afternoon, stalls etc..
I can’t believe last night…the boy went his extra walk in the morning, a hour, then we went to the park late pm, a hour and 15 min walk and play…we had our meal he’s looking out the window crying and telling me he hasn’t had his afternoon walk!!..so off we went again out for his usual walk and he then settled…I think he thought he was short changed and the park walk didn’t count!

Just been bowling with my son,the women were trying to feed us up but we just had a cuppa and a biscuit.Had two games and feel stiff as a board now, don’t know what I will be like when it’s the mixed doubles, hopefully I will get a partner who weighes 6 stone,I will lie on the grass and she can walk up and down my back😵.I just hope I don’t let whoever I play with down.I played on both greens today,the one we play on tomorrow has very short grass so it’s quite quick,the other one has longer grass so you really have to launch the bowls.

We have walked around the dog show and took Charlie for a big run off his lead in the park…so hot it was over powering…he is laid shattered, us included…I can see why the storms are brewing for Monday..

Gave Xena the calming tablets last night & this morning hoping to calm her in the car; didn’t work, she was worse than ever! We’d planned to go to Southwold, but went somewhere closer…she still had a lovely walk & a play with some dogs. Busy in the garden later, but very hot!
Eaten quite a bit today, & have made a keto pud, a US one- ‘sex in a pan’! Lots of layers, but they haven’t set as well as they should, it’ll still taste good though…

Food shopping top up later..strange we were both were saying we buy at least half less food then before we started fasting …proves how much we ate before and why we were fat!…4 shopping bags down to 1 to 2 bags now…

Hi everyone, yes I am still here! All gone a bit haywire though. All my ‘mindful’ eating went out of the window down in Kent. Just too much going on. Too much alcohol too. We are off to the beach at Ramsgate in a while with the dogs. Fish and chips have been mentioned, which I always think I will like until after I have eaten them, then I feel rubbish! Anyway, home tomorrow, meal out Tuesday then Wednesday is the start of a quiet time throughout July at home, concentrating on walking, ADF and cutting down (I know I should say out) the wine. Have been keeping up with everyone’s posts. Kay, I live in Lincolnshire, a little village five miles from Horncastle. Dave, what are cobs? Minols, I haven’t ridden pillion since I was about 18, would love to do it again! Hope all the dogs have a good sleep then raring to go again.

The weather forecast I saw before I did the food shopping said it would be cloudy & not that warm, so have planned a roast chicken, & now it’s getting pretty warm here so I’ll be sweltering in the kitchen! Mum’s coming over- my brother actually saw her yesterday, 1st time since Easter, hope she doesn’t rave about how wonderful he is & what a lovely time they had like she usually does, that won’t go down well😠! A bit of a deja-vue as FIL was like that with hubby’s older brother, who rarely saw him…families!
Last day of eating normal keto for me, I’ll go back to Fast800 tomorrow!😢
The cobs are multi seed wholemeal cobs (rolls),or whatever you call them.Been bowling again in the mixed doubles,the women are way to good for me and the men all play for teams.We did manage to win one game,our first game we got slaughtered by the eventual winners.My son list too but the women said he did well,he was sat talking to four of them and has bought his own bowls now.

Weigh after hols and 3 lbs down. I knew I hadn’t overeaten and all the walking seems to have done me good. H isn’t one for sitting and relaxing – he likes to explore.
Also just been for a run and managed 20 mins without stopping. That’s the furthest and longest I’ve ever run in life and after a 2 week break.
Holiday was amazing. Few days exploring Istanbul, then a week in Cappadocia including memorable bucket list balloon flight, flew back into Manchester, picked up the car and ended the holidays with beautiful few days in sunny Cornwall. I hear you had a drop of rain whilst we were away – are you sure? Been so lucky.
Oh and big birthday in the middle of it all, celebrated with afternoon tea in the Four Seasons hotel overlooking the Hagia Sophia. So far I’m rather enjoying my 50s.
Not mentioning the W word until 8:30 tomorrow morning.

Fell off the wagon at the weekend – I’d kind of planned to… But back on today. I plan skyr later and the sausages and my now favourite cauli/bean mash tonight.
Jean – I don’t know who impresses me most… You for falling asleep or Steve for how good a rider he must be! We went up the coast a bit yesterday and OH had put the rear box/support on… Very comfy!

We have a top box, it makes it much better…Steve wriggles back and squashes me between him and the box, he knows I am bobbing off as I start knocking my head onto him 😂..it’s a while since I have been with him as he feels a bit un safe with his back, knees…still it’s been in bits for a year…it now has the wheels on looking more like a bike lol…
Well done to you, going up the coast…I like the smell of bacon cooking as you go through villages, if you are early..

Mum got a bit stroppy with me last night, she’s got quite a bee in her bonnet about shopping- she really doesn’t like it, announced again she’d go without, which is up to her, but then she gives sis & me lists of stuff to get for her…so am not going to ask her if she wants anything this week! And she kept going on &on about poor SIL who’s hurt her back- only overdoing it in the gym!- which rubs hubby up the wrong way as he’s suffered with his back for 25 years after getting injured at work- he’s had to give up all sport…will avoid mum for a few days or might say something I regret!

Just got back 6 hours later good job I took the boy….Steve is ok, waiting results but another PET scan in the next week or so..Specialist happy but needs the further scan. It didn’t hurt.
We had a whale of a time at the park, two hours chasing and playing with other dogs about 20 or so, they are there every morning, we possibly would go back and join them again, they meet up at 9.30 every morning. A dry morning which we didn’t expect..
Fasting going well for me..Steve has had a kit kat…

Glad to be home, all socialised out! Jean, have been following your posts about Steve, bet you are glad today is over, at least Charlie had a brilliant time. Jodie enjoyed her weekend with her best friend, Kezi the cockerpoo. Managed to eat mindfully yesterday and today. The friends we stayed with have a cupboard with crisps and biscuits. I was left home alone and just raided it on Thursday and Friday (they are that kind of friends). Anyway, mindful eating tomorrow then reset.
Dave – hope you didn’t go mad at the farm cafe?
HH – hope the fast day continued well.
Sending love to you and Steve, hospitals and procedures can be so troubling, but proud of how you passed the time with your boy. Bet he loved it.

Wasn’t sure if I’d manage to fast but on about 300 so going strong. Also met the girls for another run. Struggled to keep up but they’ve got 2 weeks ahead of me.
We started going my MiL shopping many years ago when the weather was icy and she was worried about falling. I was convinced she would want to go again as soon as the spring came. She never did. Ever since we ring for her list on a Friday night and then pick up the bits she needs when we do ours first thing Saturday. It started as a choice but now she doesn’t get out at all as her arthritis has her housebound. She stays cheerful – mostly.
Well done on the mindful eating Mel. That takes as much of not more discipline as fasting as can be hard to stop. Bet you feel so much better.
Will have to try the skyr yoghurts Minols. I’m off bread again. A few days with bread on hols and skin flared – a few days without and it’s calmed down. One day I will actually listen to what my body is saying. Yoghurt is good though.
Busty day back at work but manageable, no travelling until Thursday

Mel- I agree with Cakey that eating carefully is pretty much as hard as fadting, I struggle with that as I’m quite all or nothing!

Bless her, Xena has just got very excited at the police program hubby’s watching- the boys say ‘stand still or I’ll release my dog’ & then send her off after each other, she loves it but just heard it on the TV & came running in!

A very rainy start…
What a blxxdy day and night!!….
We got home at 2pm and Steve was fine until he sneezed at 4 pm ..nose bleed started..at 8 pm we were told by the ward who wasn’t interested ( our letter told us to ring if there was a problem) to go to A&E..45 mins drive and 4 hour wait..still bleeding after 8 hours….had a nasal plug fitted and he was waiting for a bed to be admitted….I got home at 1.25am….roads closed, bridges closed followed the Sat Nav cross country not a clue where I was left my mobile with Steve…message when I got home no beds at Scunthorpe now going to Grimsby hospital…he rung me up at 3.45…no beds anywhere so I got up and went to collect him…we both got to bed at 5 am!
Still half asleep and the boy needs a walk….I will catch you all later 💤💤💤
