  • Ginette…
It was a nice surprise to see them I forget she’s on school holidays. Cake was lovely but I feel very full now.

No rain here so going to water the garden. Lovely and sunny.

Glad you are getting all sorted with the blouses hoping we are both going to go down a size by next year.

    Cmum..
Poor little might with all the bumps on his feet it must be so sore.

Have a relaxing day….. all lovely peace and quiet.

    Jean X

    Hi all

Busy day for us, have mowed the grass and put the awning up. It’s a beautiful day today shame it’s going to rain tonight and tomorrow.

Sorry I have to rush we are having a bbq with our neighbours tonight let’s hope it’s not too bad calorie wise..

    Love to all

    Audrey

    . Hi All

Sorry I’ve been missing, OH has been?is poorly and along with other problems I haven’t known if I’m on my head or on my heels.

Forgot to weigh in yesterday so did it this morning. 3lb down but I’d put on 2lb last week so lost that plus 1lb.

Well done Ginette on your weight loss and being able to see some difference. Doing happy dance for you. πŸ™‚

Agree it’s difficult to know what to do about clothes, but it’s great that you’ve got 5 blouses that fit – and some smaller ones waiting in the wings LOL

I also wear longer skirts, usually a 33″ length which I used to be able to get from M&S and Per Una. Still got quite a lot of them and seriously thinking about altering them to fit cos it’s really difficult to find them tha length now. Problem is my ‘workroom’ with my machines in is a total mess! As usual full of good intentions that never seem to happen. πŸ™

Glad everyone else is OK and having a good day. Take care all. XX

Hi all. Still under canvas. Went horse riding this morning and then bagged a munro this afternoon. We felt so righteous that we blew the budget and went out for dinner! Ever the optimist I’M still hopeful I won’the gain anything😁

    Hi CMum

Poor baby, so much to go through for a little thing.

Nice that you have had a quiet day xx

    Morning all

Very wet here today. Fast day today for me had quite a lot to eat yesterday so need to reign it in a bit. I know the non fast days are the ones that catch me out…

Hope everyone is ok. Keep in touch. Will post again tomorrow. ..

    Audrey

    Morning All,

Lovely day here this morning but Audrey’s rain will hit us about 2 pm!

FD for us today…although hit the cake yesterday we stayed well under TDEE.

A stop in day today, a few jobs to do but not a lot.

    Coffee..
Lovely to hear from you…sorry about OH hope he soon improves. It’s difficult when there are long time issues, I feel for you….take care yourself..X

The 3 lbs off is good …you could of put 2 lb on and it stayed on…a great resultπŸ˜€

    Minols..
Sounds as if you are having fun…a Munro..well done..the view must of been amazing.

    Enjoy your holiday.

    Ginette..
Hope you are feeling better and getting bp under control.

Enjoy your catch up with your friend today enjoy your meal and ice cream.

    Audrey..
Hope the BBQ went well yesterday with your friends and weather was kind to you.

Like you fasting today and trying to pull back…everything went well yesterday until we had two pieces of cake each. Oops…still under calories so might not be too bad. A was really nice though..πŸ˜€

Have a lovely holiday hope the rain moves quick…to us today..lol..lol

    Speak later

    Jean x

    Hi all

Out on the road on our holidays….first stop is a camp site in Shrewsbury which will be our home until Monday morning πŸ™‚

Raining at the mo but due to clear, hopefully, by late afternoon, for pitching the tent.

Half a pound down from last Friday, which isnt bad considering I ended up being more relaxed than intended over last 2 days.

In total since starting at the beginning of June I have lost 9lbs and dropped 4% body fat so Im now 10.7 and 35% and the move from BMI overweight to healthy is in sight..lol.

However 2 weeks of camping and socialising could be tricky so Im going to target certain days to be good, well better than the others πŸ˜‰

    Jean
Good luck with the FD. Sounds like you enjoyed the cake….mmmmm…..not had cake in ages.

    Audrey
Hope you are having a nice day. Where abouts are you at the moment?

    Minols
Sounds like you are having great time.

    Coffee and C’smum
Hope you are both ok. Take care.

    Ginette
Now its cooled down a bit, how is the BP?

Hi to the others on here.

Like Audrey, now Im away from home, access to the internet will be hit and miss and there is a lot going over the weekend, but I will pop in when I can.

    Kay x

    Kay..

Have a lovely holiday…lots of people away and all quiet

    Jean X

Gray and overcast and waiting for rain to fall, though to be honest I think the gardens could do with it.

Audrey, Minois and Kay hope your weather clears up and the sun shines where you are. Have a lovely time and come back refreshed. X

Hope things are better with your daughter Cmum and that baby Louis is improving in health. Did they find out what was wrong with his blood? Poor little poppet must feel a bit like a pin cushion. X

Enjoy your day in Jean – and your FD! Your cake yesterday sounds as though it was really enjoyed. Hope OH continues to improve and the pain can be controlled.
Yes it’s difficult when it’s long term. He’s been bed ridden for 19 years now and even with the intrathecal pump, which sends morphine and bubivacain( an anaesthetic ) directly into his spinal cord, the pain is still intense needing extra morphine to be given. God love him he still manages to make me laugh and we try and focus on the positive – there are so many people much worse off (breaks my heart when it’s children)

Hope you have a lovely day with your friend Ginette.

    Take care everyone XX

    Coffee…

We all moan on here for one thing and another, we really should take on board how your hubby is…we have nothing to complain about..

It must be so hard and you both laugh together and feel positive, I feel the love you have for him.

We have had a bad 12 weeks but nothing like you, fortunately for Steve he is now coming through the worse and the pain is more an ache with pins and needles.

I hope you get a lot of help and support, with some time to pamper yourself occasionally you deserve it.

Lots of hugs to both of you.

    Jean x

    Hi All

I had a lovely meal and a free dessert, now I need to stop eating, thankfully fast day tomorrow, that will bring me back to earth….. Nice to see my friend as well as I don’t see her often.

    Hi Jean

I wore one of my newly fitting blouses, I can’t remember the last time I wore it, probably over 20 years ago.

My friend said she could really see I had lost it. We discussed her proposed weight loss but although she is trying not to go too mad she wants to have a holiday until September……

Difficult as I know she will only lose when she decides.

I am glad your cake was nice, sounds delicious. Such a shame the weather isn’t so nice as the children are on holiday.

I hope you didn’t have too much rain, we had a bit as well but over very quickly.

    Hi Audrey

Yes that was the same for me non fast days really need watching. I’ve had my treat day so I shall be ok for a while, next meal out is planned in September.

    Hi Coffee

I hope well done on the weight loss. Sorry I must have missed it earlier. Yes I shall keep them for a while, I don’t ever want them to fit again though!! I war either 29 or 31 length skirts, as you say difficult to find the longer ones. I am happy to buy second hand for everyday wear, I don’t want to buy new as they are so expensive when I am changing sizes.

Your poor OH, lovely that he can still joke, as Jean says we should count our blessings.

BP has gone down a little, but I have an appointment to get it checked with the nurse, still far too high. Strangely it is better today that I have been out and about that when I have a days complete rest. Taking Paul to bed tonight I think….

    …..McKenna of course. πŸ™‚

    Hi Kay

I do hope the rain stopped for you to pitch the tent, I used to like camping. If you can maintain your current weight while you are away you will do well, this will give you a relaxing time food wise as well, a nice loss so far, well done.

Enjoy your time away, it will go quickly.

    Hi Mino

I have no idea what a Munro is?? I hope the weather is good and you enjoy the rest of your time away.

I think have caught up, Hi to anybody I have missed

    See you all tomorrow xx

    Morning all

Had a good fast day yesterday. Weight just 1lb up from the other week now. Still I will try to do a couple more fast days whilst Ian is back home.

Last day together today so lots of shopping to be done he is going home 1st thing tomorrow and will be back on Wednesday …

Coffee keep popping in I have missed your posts. I wish there was someone who could help you. You could do with a break from it all.

Hope all my fellow campers are keeping dry and safe…

Will post again tomorrow have a good day today fast or non fast..

    Together we are stronger

    Audrey

    Morning All..

A drizzle day today…even yesterday wasn’t the heavy rain expected.

Hair cut for me this morning, usually every 6 weeks but 7 this time feels on the long side…an inch off get the dead ends off!

Weigh in today, Steve the same…1 lb off for me…must make some more cake! 3 weeks stationary for me glad I have moved!

    Ginette..
I was worried as you didn’t come in yesterday. Glad you had a lovely meal out and chat with friend

Do you think your friend will get on board she seems to be having excuses. She will only do it when the time is right for her.

I bet you looked slimmer with the smaller blouse, when blouses are big and baggy no one can see the weight loss. All of a sudden there’s a change.

A Munro is mountain, I think it has to be above 3,000 feet, and mostly in Scotland…there are a lot of walkers who try and walk up them all separately ! The view must be fantastic…I am now a flat sort of walker I struggle up slopes.

    Audrey..
Have a lovely day together, shopping etc….. hope there’s people about you can chat to. At least you can be strict on your own.

Trying to find a site from the 8th to have 5 nights away, waiting for a reply to see if anything is free in the dales.

    Kay and Minols..
Enjoy the camping, hope the weather improves. News today said a cold night tonight about 8 degrees..keep warm but a warm day Saturday.

    Coffee..
Keep popping in…hope hubby a bit better and things calming down for you both.

We are going to a surprise birthday meal on Sunday night joining Step D and friend ( she’s organising it) we are staying away in the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool. She is coming up from Cardiff to stay in same hotel meeting up in reception at 7 pm…we are going to have to hide the car so she doesn’t see it. We will go around the dock area Sunday morning, lots of cafes, shops and bars we think. We are both looking forward to it.

    HELP needed..
As Monday is a FD and we will have the full breakfast in the hotel…when do I eat again..l fast from Monday after breakfast is it Tuesday lunch or dinner when I eat again? When do I have my 500 calories?

Speak later all have a good day.

    Jean X

    Hi Jean

I would fast until Tuesday lunch time if you can…. I know some people only go 24 hrs but I usually go from about 9 at night until lunch time the 2 days later…about 40 hrs… so really just last out as long as you can…. one short fast day isn’t really that bad…

I too am fasting Monday so will help you if I can… we can see who can go the longest before eating on Tuesday if you like?

    Hope this helps

    Aud

    Hi Audrey

That 1lb will soon go. As you know it could be anything, water retention, food in transit so just be mindful this week. Summer is a time of ups and downs.

    Hi Jean

Well done on your 1lb off. At least it is moving again.

How funny, I thought it was something to eat! Well done for losing that 1lb. I went to see someone that used to work for my Dad yesterday, she lives near my friend, then I went to Pams, as she is just around the corner and I had a bin from Aldi for her. That was a really long day out for me and I wasn’t home until late.

Nice though…. I also dropped a few things off at the local community centre, that I had sorted out from the kitchen.

A nice rest today I think.

    Nice to be missed.

    Hi All,

Back home now, would you believe I went looking for Xmas cards, someone said castleford may have them but they didn’t …the shop thought they would in September!

Getting things together for my Xmas trip to Louisiana to drop Xmas and next years birthday things off…get organised.

We have had lunch at ‘Ask’ an Italian …really lovely, a chicken meal, coffee and a wine. Half price with Tesco vouchers…That’s it for food today maybe a slice of toast later. We ate about 2 pm so not lunch or dinner!

    Ginette..
I missed you thought you were maybe unwell, I was going to call you if you didn’t come on today. We all get busy, glad you had a busy friend day catching up with everybody and everything is fine. Have a lovely rest.

    Audrey..
That’s seems a long time 40 hours…don’t think I can manage that. Tuesday lunch time sounds more right, I will see how I go. You seem stronger than me. Do you not eat your 500 calories at all? Is it just liquid?

I was dizzy again with low BP on Thursday, I am having to keep a eye on that and logging it. I even had some tomatoes with salt on to try and bring it back up. I will work with you and see.

Have a nice few quiet days.

    Jean x

    Hi Jean

Nice for you to be concerned. I have got a meal from a neighbour who found the curry too hot, one for tomorrow. Also a copy of JKRowlings Casual Vacancy, anybody read it?

Can you and I exchange a bit of blood pressure? That will make them both better.

Meal sounded nice, Christmas sounds wrong this time of the year.

    Hi Ginette..

Always early for Xmas..hate the crowds in December..everything bought, wrapped, cards ready to post end of November with tree up…lol…lol..I then start to enjoy Xmas..

There are 4 houses in our small cul de sac including ours which always have their trees and outside lights up by 30th November.

Have to be ready for the abroad family cost to much to send, cheaper if we take it !! … It will be here in a flash.

Like the idea of sharing our BP…my heart beat was down to 53 beats on Thursday…I can’t remember this last time I lost all the weight…must watch how I go it’s seems to be only on a FD.

I haven’t heard of your book, I get loads off my sister I slowly work through them..

    X

    Hi Jean

I can understand why you buy things early.

Hope your blood pressure rights itself. I wish the weight loss would lower mine. Off to bed with Paul McKenna again, I have an appointment on the 8th or my doctor, they have brought it forward because of the BP readings.

    See you tomorrow

    Morning all

That’s Ian sent home until Wednesday. … sat in peace and quiet now. The site is quite busy but reasonably quiet on our little field we can hear the children in the distance LOL ☺.

Ginette hope you managed a good nights sleep with Paul’s help.

Jean have you managed to book a site for next week?

Hope all my fellow campers are well.

I had a bad non fast day yesterday so slotting in an extra fast today.

    Have a good day all

    Audrey

    Morning All,

A cloudy day here a bit dark for this time of day…… Oh Suns now come out.

A NFD day for us maybe on the light side side, as away tomorrow for dinner in the evening and breakfast Monday morning.

Packing a bit later and get organised.

    Ginette..
Hoping your weight as it gets lower helps you too with your BP. Hope they can sort you on the 8th maybe a change of meds. Did you have a good sleep with Paul?

My BP and heart beat has always been on the low side but not as low as now. Although looking on a BP chart I am just in normal.

When doing excerise ( years since at the gym) I struggled to get it raised enough to get in burn calories range. Steve was walking at 4 mph and I was running at 11 mph and my heart beat was lower than his.

My only excerise is swimming which it goes up more….maybe because I am not as comfortable with it but Steve disagrees as he says I swim very well.

    Audrey..
Hope you are relaxing this morning with your peace and quiet. Getting back on board with no distractions lol..lol

How is the garden? a bit of pottering to do..and dog walking.

    Cmum..
Look after yourself, hoping daughters feeling a bit better now and starting to enjoy Louie.

    Coffee….
How you doing? Things getting a bit better with you both.

    KT..
Are you OK? Enjoy your day keep popping in.

Holiday corner….have a lovely time camping.

    Have a good weekend

    Jean x

    Audrey…we crossed..

Site man not got back…we may go to Rosedae…no TVs, no phone signal, no forum!…can I manage 😁

    Lol..lol..of course I can πŸ˜€

    X

    Jean

It sounds like bliss lol ❀❀

    Hi
    yes I am still around
feeling rather guilty for dumping on you all the other week and then not staying to support anyone else
    so apologies for that

Symba I wonder if you are drinking enough as I was told by dr and hospital to drink more when BP is low
also it goes down in the summer (for most people, sorry Ginette!!)

I am ok thank you, weigh in tmro
last week I lost nothing, due to some binges, but at least managed to avoid putting any on

I do wonder if all of this really is a lifestyle change or whether I will cave completely
I really really really don’t want to put all that weight back on

I don’t seem to have more energy, but it is nice to be able to go out in some shorts in the hot weather

    enjoy all your trips/holidays

    KT..

I think you are possibly right on the water.

The nurse at doctors told me to up the water when I was having some holiday jabs. I must admit I don’t drink anywhere near enough.

    I must really try

    X

    Hi all.
I’m sorry I’ve not been keeping up with all your posts but I’ve been distracted with my daughter. Thanks Jean for asking about my daughter. She still isn’t back on her feet yet. Still very anaemic but shes having problems with taking so many iron tabs so has stopped. I’m trying to encourage her to take some but shes stubborn. Baby Louie is doing very well. His red blood cells are back to normal now. The poor little boy has lumps on his feet due to the amount of heel pricks they gave him. Hopefully they’ll lesson in time.

    KT,
I noticed your post about not drinking enough. I’m the same. I don’t drink nearly enough but I never feel thirsty. I’m trying to make an effort as I believe it matters when your trying to lose weight.

    Ginette

I to have sleep problems and I noticed you use Paul Mckenna’s help. Would be very interested to know which one it is.

Continuing with my FD. Weight coming off but very slowly now. Going to have to be extra care what I eat on non FD.

Weather mixed here in the North West. Two break-ins on our road early hours yesterday. Both away on holiday. Make sure you make your house looked lived in when your away. I always use lamp timers and have them coming on and off in different rooms during the night. Looks like some ones moving about.

    Have a good weekend all.

    Cmum

Keep popping in when you can. I am sorry your daughter is still suffering…

I keep 8 coloured beads on the window sill at home it reminds me to drink water. Each time I have a glass of water I pop a bead into a little glass… it works for me I got the idea off hemmy!

Hope your family is all better soon.
I am sure ginette will let you share Paul lol ☺

    Audrey

    Hi Audrey

Yes 6 hours. I read that vitamin d can help lower blood pressure and as I got some yesterday (prescribed) I took one last night. My levels are low and reading about it there is some evidence to sho that people with low levels are shown to have higher pressure, something to do with the renin making the kidneys work.

It was a bit night again first thing but now in the normal range. I ran out about 4 weeks ago and they gave me the wrong ones, capsules which make me itch so I’ve been without up to now.

Good luck on your fast, I love having weekends off.

    Hi Jean

Do you take a multi vitamin or anything with vitamin d in?

I slept for 6 hours but awake with a nightmare.

I drank lots of water when it was hot, now I am back to mostly tea about a pint of water during the day though.

If it is chilly and I don’t fancy water I make a very weak warm squash. This may help you if you don’t like water.

I hope you get your site sorted.

    Hi KT

I’m glad all is well with you. If you have maintained through a blip that is good.

No you WONT cave in you are stronger than that, you may have a few blips but you will stick at it, the longer you do the easier it becomes.

    Keep popping in. Xx

    Ginette..

No I don’t take vitamin D …I am always outside I think I pick up enough from the sun and outside holidays. I hardly ever wear a coat always in tee shirts…only January and February if I really must.

I have about 5 cups of tea a day but not straight water…I don’t mind drinking it I just forget.

    Cmum…
Guinness is the answer for your daughter, if she can get a half pint down her, she will be able to drink more easier.

It will build her up…we used to get it given in hospital after delivery…I did a clean sweep of the ward! No one would drink it….get free flow in a can its better than the bottle.

    Audrey…
Like the bead idea…a nice reminder.

The CC booking sites off line today, as soon it’s back on I will book the Rosedale site, there was places free…no wonder with no TV/Phone/ wifi/ toilet facilities …no children? Ummm

Naughty Naughty…just made chocolate fridge biscuit cake…ooooh so nice…just one small 2″ piece with a cuppa….it’s lasts good, must keep off it.

    Jean x

    Hi CMum

Sorry I missed your earlier post. Mine is control stress but I also have the sleep one. As the stress one sends me to sleep I have never used this.

After three of four days I seem to feel the benefit. I shall see if I can find you a link.

    Hi CMum

Here is a free download to relaxation, it may send you to sleep as mine does. Let me know how you get on.

    http://www.nlplifetraining.com/free/download/deep-relaxation

    re. vitamin D
I have been on it for the past 3 or 4 years
since the gastro dr discovered mine was too low
think it is a consequence of lots of gut issues

even through the summer when I still had my dog and was going out with him several times every day – it still stayed low

this time it has come up and I wonder if that is the change in diet
cant recall what has lots of vit d in but am wondering if it is that

    re. nights
    ugh
    mine are currently rubbish
    what with heat
    and hot flushes
and the damn seagulls that start their youth flight training trips around 3am
    and are SOOOOOOOOO noisy

I would like to have a whole nights sleep but it just wont happen, and I really hate waking up all drenched in sweat – yuk

    Hi All,

It’s not been a low day…I was having lamb steaks but have eaten them…so steak on the menu, fried onions, mushrooms, peas, jackets……Merlot it has to be….so so lovely…my Son in Law showed me the way to cook steaks…beautiful..and a piece of biscuit cake again..so so lovely, just to finish it off…😬

    You could say a day off πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ But I don’t mind…

    Tomorrow another day…

Got booked in Rosedale on the Monday the 8th for 5 nights…no wifi …no forum…😒 😩 😟 Will you miss me πŸ™„πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’

    Xxx

    Symba

5 days without you AND its my birthday on the 8th!!!

If u don’t want to get me a card it’s a bit of an extreme way to avoid it LOL 😊

Hope the Sun shines for us both… you could have come to Anglesey and we could have been fast buddies who camp hehe

    Audrey

    Audrey…
It could of been nice a bit of a BBQ …but the Merlot would be about ..lol..lol

    Same birthday as grandson…

    X

    Morning All,

Just a quickie away for a couple of days so may not be popping by. Back pm Monday.

Going to the Step D surprise birthday dinner for tonight / weekend already told her we are away in the caravan to put her off track and with no phone signal!

Looking forward to it for a change and a look around Liverpool docks which is supposed to be nice.

Will pop by if I can.

    Enjoy your day

    Jean x

    good morning

symba how lovely to surprise your step D
I bet she will be thrilled to bits

when my children where young – my parents would often holiday nearby us and we wouldn’t tell the children
then suddenly they would spot one of them on the beach or somewhere
    they absolutely loved it

well today has started well, at least
scales down by 4.5 pounds -!!!! cant hardly believe that
although I have walked every day and kept to around 800-900 cals every day

anyway am expecting it to be a fluke but hope to hold onto it
it takes me below my next 2 goals
    happy bunny
for now!!!! but you know me

(off to plot it on my tracker, now, as I so love seeing descending lines lol)

also I bought a pedometer – (cant be fussed with a fitbit)
and so will wear that when I go out
was surprised last night just a walk around the town was 2500 steps so that is good to know

    Morning all

Jean have a lovely time away. Liverpool docks are very interesting sute you will find lots to do..

Kt well done on weight loss.. keep trying! !

Off for a walk now need to up my exercise.. be back tomorrow

    Love to all

    Audrey

    Hi KT

There is more vitamin D in healthy food than non healthy. I know most people suffer from this, mostly a little low so not really a problem, move is really low as is my salt levels, the low salt is due to medication.

Well done on your Brilliant loss!! Look at my link on Paul McKenna relaxation, maybe it will help. Great that you are wearing a pedometer as well. I have a Wii one in a drawer!! I should have had it out yesterday as I cut Pams grass. My phone measures steps as well but I don’t take the phone everywhere with me.

Your weight loss programme certainly seems to be working for you. I always log weight loss on two trackers I have, one tells me BMI the other just a graph showing Wright loss, I also gave an app that shows a simulation of what I was when I started and what I am now, the comparison really shows as well. Nice to see that as I progress down and I shall probably do it every stone.

The app is called my model if anybody wants to use it, it really encourages you as well.

    Jean

Wail…..wail……… How WILL we cope, five days……poor Audrey will miss you on her birthday and what type of food will you be tempted by when we aren’t there?? Full confession when you get back.

Have a lovely dinner tonight. It sounds as if you will be on a desert island. A dessert island sounds good as well!!

Have a lovely time, it is my doctors appointment on the 8th as well, not as important as your birthday Audrey.

    Hi Audrey

What a lovely idea to meet up. Have you anything special planned? I was given some rhubarb the other day, I thought of you….

Enjoy your walk, lovely when it’s not too hot.

    KT…

    thanks guys

its so nice to have the encouragement of others

I forgot to say – I am now officially – OVERWEIGHT

    and not obese!!!!!!!!

(pretty sure I will bounce back up there though as only just in there by 0.1)

re. pedometer – it was so funny, yesterday whilst skypeing mum, I managed to do 80 steps without moving
then I realised it was because I was whirling the thing round on the end of its cord πŸ™‚

Just lost one post by my fingers doing their own thing so this one will be shorter πŸ™‚

Glad you all seem to be doing OK. Hope those of you who are away have a lovely time and great weather.

KT congratulations on a fabulous result. I can’t wait to be ‘overweight’ !! You’re doing really well and it’s great to hear of your success. Had to laugh at the extra 80 steps – that’s just the sort of thing I would do. πŸ™‚

Ginette I looked at ‘my model’ on the computer and it let me see the models at my weight and desired weight without downloading anything. Does the download give you anything extra and is it free?

Hope you’re all staying cheerful – and mindful! – whether you’re home or away. XX

    Evening all.
The post about low Vit D are interesting. As I have Coeliacs, I have a yearly nutrition blood test. My last one showed I had an extremely low Vit D level. Had a course of a high dose Vit D supplement. Whats interesting is my middle daughter has had a Melanoma on her cheek. She had 3 surgeries and is left with a scar on her face. Her specialist checked her Vit D level because he said that hes found Melanoma patients tend to have very low Vit D. He was right as she was actually depleted of any Vit D. Has to take it now for the rest of her life. I also have had chemotherapy for 13 pre-malignant lesions on my face. My specialist also commented on my low Vit D levels. Neither of us is allowed to expose our faces to the sun now. Take care in the sun everyone, my daughter was very sun safe but still got skin cancer.

Thanks for the link,Will give it a try.

I remember the midwives recommending a Guinness when I had my babies. The bead idea might help, Ill tell Stephie. That and the Guinness might get more fluid into her.

Feet up tonight, been cooking and cleaning all day watched by my OH from his reclining chair.

    No change.

Hello all . I’m new ,my name is jan and I’m from hampshire ,I want to loose about 3 stone ,I’ve lost 1st10lb ,but am stagnating so thought I’d give 5:2 ago …starting tomorrow πŸ™‚

    Hi Jan

Welcome to our 5:2 family. You will get lots of support from us all to keep you motivated. I’m a long term dieter. Tried most diets but never has it been as successful as it has been following this fasting diet. I’ve now lost just under 3 stone without a great deal of effort. I hope you stay with it.
    Good luck.
    Caspersmum.

    Hi KT

How exciting, just overweight…… I, like Coffee would love to be that, as I have only just got down into the obese category I think it will take a while.

You are really doing well, you should be proud of yourself.

    Hi Coffee

The app is free. It just saves you imputing all the data every time.

    Hi CMum

Your post about vitamin D was interesting. How such a thing that many of us may have not thought very much about could be so important to health.

I can say that maybe a combination of vitamin D and Paul McKenna is helping as my BP has been normal for 2 days now.

    Hi Jan

Lovely to see you, I am in Hampshire as well, there aren’t many of us down this way.

As CMum says, it’s a nice way to lose weight and of course it has other health benefits. I gave lost 4 stone with it and a strobe before about another 4 to go. I do Monday and Wednesday and 800 Friday, my choice, other people only just do the two days. I like to be able to have some treats at the weekend so this keeps me on course.

    When are you starting?

    Morning all

Welcome to the brits thread Jan. Lots of us been on a while shout if u need any help or advice.

Sunny here but rain forecast for later may spend a few hrs in the garden until it rains..

Not being particularly good and my trousers are getting snuggly need to get a grip and do a good fast day…

Hope you are all doing better than me! Have a good day all. Will be in touch again soon

    Audrey

    Hi Audrey

Yes fast day for me as well, you will get back to it, I think that being way in the car an may have put you in the holiday spirit.

No weigh in with my trainer tomorrow as he has a personal family problem. His family are in Israel so maybe a while, she said he would be off for a while. So spout ent moved to next week with somebody else.

I hope everybody else is doing Ok.

ah to be on holiday πŸ™
I really think I could do with some days on the beach (I’m not exactly far away but they are packed and stoney)

well I did a walk this morning
seriously doubt I will be doing 10000 steps – this mornings was 8000 and that included a brief Tesco shop on the way back and I was SO tired when I got in

think that will have to do for today and I wont be repeating it tomorrow!!

cant believe I have resorted to this – but I bought some ketostix and I am officially in a state of ketosis (according to my pee!!!!)
so I am burning fat as fuel

well since I am only eating around 20-30g carbs a day there really is very little else to burn!!!!

feel a bit of a traitor doing this on here when it not fd
but I sort of ‘know’ you guys better
