    Having not managed one FD so far this month – I am aiming for B2B FD800 from today until the end of the month to make amends and try and regain focus – I have weighed myself this morning and will do daily weigh in to see what impact it has 🤞

    Very happy to do a spreadsheet for March @lilymartin – it will be ready to add to the challenge when you set it up

    Day 25 NZ NFD

    Greetings all!! I’m in a dear wee Waikuku Beach crib north of Christchurch waking up to a blanket of dense thick white fog, the sound of the odd seagull plus a moo here and a moo there. Today we’re off to a vineyard called Craggy Range, then to have a soak in the restorative mineral waters of Hamner Springs and take the high road over the Southern Alps to Reefton, on the wild West Coast.
    Christchurch looks shiny and new in some areas and still broken down in others thanks to the earthquakes. I visited the ChCh Art Gallery where one of Billy’s works was hanging – bittersweet… ❤️💚
    I did do a FD y’day but my 500 cals was exceeded by a Texan Chilli sausage, a saveloy, a lamb cutlet, and roasted vegetables all cooked on the BBQ, a corn cob and rice crackers and cheese plus a glass of Campari, Milk Stout and a Reisling🤣 It was all delicious!!! There are no scales in sight luckily…
    We’re getting up to pack up now.

    I lost the plot yesterday when I found cookies & nuts my friend left. They are now gone, but I’ll attempt to make amends with an extra FD 💪

    @icystorm – the forum can be temperamental when you try to post some links, but I’ve never had a problem with YouTube links 🤔 I didn’t see the longer post that @penz mentioned. Maybe it was sent to people who subscribe to the emails.

    Day 25 – USA/GA – NFD

    Weigh-in: 235 lbs. I haven’t gotten far this month, but I’ve been pushing the average weight down a couple of pounds and maintaining around the 235 lb. level. Considering the ridiculous amount of stress, I think that’s a win for the month. March will be the same until mid-month, then vacation, so I don’t see a lot of change then, but maybe I can keep the downward pressure on 🙂

    Had a good FD800 yesterday and aiming for another one today 🤞 Planning my 2 small meals a day on MFP to ensure that I stay below the 800cal mark……I know that I can do this 💪

    Went walking with my usual group today – mainly dry with a bit of a drizzle but mostly dry

    Hello all. Just checking in. Feeling very sluggish today for no reason. Had a great night’s sleep. Perhaps waking to another cloudy day is all it takes?

    The Tuesday FD was a struggle, but I nailed it 💪

    @brightonbelle – the temptations are still lurking! I found a litre of Belgian Chocolate Ice cream in the freezer, & a whole packet of chocolate chip cookies in the cupboard. I’ll have to give them away 😳

    @icystorm – I watched Dr O’Neill’s – ‘How Intermittent Fasting Save My Life’ on YouTube. What an inspiration! And the list of ailments he suffered before his dramatic weight loss, incredible.

    Day 26-No. VA USA-FD800
    Well, yesterday’s FD became more of a FD. 800, but that is ok. I do not find them hard to do. I am of the opinion that for someone of my ag (74), the calculated TDEE is rather too high, so instead of 1600 something calories, I cannot exceed about 1300 before I start to gain weight. Maybe if I were very active (Looking at you, @merryapple, for example, the higher calorie TDEE would be accurate.) So, at any rate, 800 calories is quite do-able.
    My son-in-law with the very rare adrenal tumor has his surgery today. I am hoping it goes well, of course. It is such a rare type that there are not very many surgeons who have dealt with lots of these. The recovery is likely to be long, due to the very large incision, etc. My step-daughter is quite nervous; they have both been very healthy people and have no experience of hospitals, surgeries, etc (except for two days for babies being delivered, years ago!). She wanted to know if she should stay over at the hospital and I said, yes, absolutely; even in the best facilities, a patient needs an advocate all the time. At least for the first few days!

    Day 26 – USA – NFD

    Greetings, everyone! I hope you’re all well and having a great day or night in your corner of the world!

    Today is an NFD for me. So far, weight loss has been slower than expected. My weekly weight-in is tomorrow. So far, I have only lost 3 lbs. I was actually down 6 pounds after my Day 1 fast last week, but recovered three of those pounds afterward. The culprit? I’m eating too much during my NFD eating windows. Plus, my cortisol levels are currently high. I had been a very carefree eater for years, enjoying food, and now I’m in a rigid, restrictive mindset, so naturally it’s stressful as everyone knows and experiences. It is so important to me to return to a healthy weight and BMI, so I’m determined to overcome the stress associated with food denial.

    If I hope to lose 20 lbs by the end of March, I’ll need to do much better in the week ahead. The good news is that as I become more accustomed to the fasting pattern, I will adapt. Although I’m consuming too much protein during my eating windows, I’ve radically reduced my sugar and carb intake over the past week—a major change for me.

    @funshipfreddie — It’s great that you enjoyed the video! It’s inspirational, as are all of you good people here in the forum! It’s nice to be on the health journey with everyone here and read about your successes!

    Day 26 – UK – FD800

    Busy day starting with a 1.5hr yoga class this morning followed by coffee with some of the group and then my regular Wednesday afternoon volunteering at a group for the elderly in my community.

    Made a vegetarian frittata for our evening meal (using all the leftover vegetables in my fridge) keeping my portion small, OH had a double portion accompanied by a rocket, red pepper, tomato and avocado salad – he also has some leftover apple and blackberry crumble for afters. MFP tells me I will be well within my 800 cals so a successful 3rd B2B FD800

    @brightonbelle – the chocolate ice cream has been dispatched. To a neighbour’s freezer 😅

    @icystorm – you WILL adapt. Your body will, anyway. The tricky part is getting your mind to co-operate. I think we all struggle with the NFDs more than the FDs. I try to plan ahead what I’ll eat (& when) every day, including NFDs. And I usually only buy ‘risky’ treats in the smallest quantities. Have you checked out the spreadsheet yet? Only a few of us use it, but I find it helps to keep me on my toes. You can add yourself to it, or ask someone else to add your name.

    @excelsior12309 – what a stressful time for your family? I hope everything goes smoothly for your son-in-law’s surgery today 🙏

    @at – a 1.5 yoga class sounds quite challenging! I’ve normally had enough after about 40 minutes 🥴

    We have a few child free days as its half term holidays. We had a day out in York with a group of friends, had great fun including a lightshow on the walls of the Minster. Eating and drinking was involved but I tried to be restrained. Tomorrow we are going to Scotland with my sister and B in L for the weekend. Not ideal for ending one month and starting another, especially as we have gift vouchers for a very nice restaurant in Edinburgh!

    Day 27 – USA/GA – FD

    Weigh-in: 237 lbs. I’m going to try to eat (if I eat) my 500 calories upon arriving home and before 6 p.m. if possible. I really need to get my GERD under control. I think I’ve figured it out as the silent cause of my long-term ailments (constant dry throat, wheezing, cough, croup, and sudden returning congestion and asthma attacks). It had disappeared and made an ugly comeback last year after slowly regaining 30 lbs in the past three years.

    Early morning Aerobics class – visit to hospital for mammogram check up – walk and coffee with a friend and now back home.

    Beautiful sunny day here in the Lakes with snow on the high fells – fabulous views!!

    Today will be my 4th B2B FD800 and I remain on track – all food for today inputted into MFP and 🤞I stick to the plan.

    I have a 6pm Pilates class which keep me focused!!

    Sorting our health and car insurance today. Sigh. I know it pays to shop around but it can be such a painful exercise and not always easy to compare apples with apples.

    Friday morning PFDS! Yesterday’s FD was surprisingly easy, despite the fact that it was my 3rd one in 5 days. ⬇0.2 kg for the month, I’ll take it!

    Hello all, checking in on this last day of my favourite month of the year. 🌼

    I have not got to read posts recently but hope everyone is well and welcome to @icystorm who I see joined us this month.

    Thank you all so much for the support and care these past few weeks. I’m very sad but just taking each day as it comes and there is no doubt that is a huge hole left in our lives. I’m in no rush to fill that but routine and keeping busy are key for me so will see you tomorrow for our March challenge – thank you @lilymartin and @brightonbelle thank you for looking after us in February. It is still fab ☀️🌼☀️.

    Down 2lbs this month , which might not be much but I’m happy with it and feel I’m in a steady place , I’ll need to try and show some restraint as meeting up for drinks later but I really don’t want to see that hard earned loss disappear overnight

    Thank you all for your thoughts on my son in law and his surgery. He did well. It took 4 hours and he has a very long incision from under the breastbone around to the back of his hip bone. But they were able to remove the tumor intact. So now he is rambling around the hospital with his IV pole and bladder catheter, etc, etc. So doing OK!
    Looking forward to a good re-set for March. Thank you, @brightonbelle for handling February, and @lilymartin for guiding us through March. See you all tomorrow!

    Weigh-in: 234 lbs. I’ve averaged about the same as last month, maybe a smidge lower… Looking ahead to March. Got a lot of interruptions, including a 3-day work conference starting Monday, and a week or so of vacation towards the end of the month.

    Day 28 – Rural Nebraska, USA – NFD – 157.6

    Not my proudest and most exciting weight (and it’s up 1.5 pounds from the beginning of Fab Feb), but I managed to behave enough not to land in the 160s for more than one very terrifying morning. I’m realizing the biggest reason I struggle with NFDs so much is that I simply forget I care. Instead, I’m focused on what is going on around me, and my weight doesn’t even occur to me as I make choices.

    Another frustration is that I feel SO much better on my WFDs since I’m not over eating, and not indulging in bloaty and unhealthy food choices, and yet when I consider eating those foods on NFDs, I eat away, and can’t persuade myself I care enough not to eat them, even knowing how I’ll end up feeling later.

    So, those are my challenges for March, and I will be back to work on succeeding to lose the twenty pounds I prefer to live without.

    I have an early meeting tomorrow that’s 50 minutes away, so I’m unlikely to post in the morning, but I’m back fulltime. Thanks, @brightonbelle, for leading us through Fab Feb and for stretching yourself to chatter more than is your wont, and thanks @lilymartin for guiding us through March; I’m assuming you’ll soon gasp to realize we are at March already and will create it then, right? 😉😂😂💞👍 And if not, we can keep posting here in Fab Feb until it’s available.

    Day 28 – UK – FD800

    On my 5th B2B FD800 today!!!!

    Could not resist to get out for a brisk 6miles wander this morning – Beautiful spring day here, sunshine, blue skies, daffodils and crocuses starting to show themselves does brighten up the soul and makes you feel instantly better about everything 🤗

    I am starting to feel the benefits of these B2B FD800s – my jeans that were uncomfortable to do up and sit down in last week are definitely feeling more comfortable, so I suspect I’m back sitting around that 64kg mark, will weigh tomorrow to confirm – I definitely want to get back to 60kg where I feel at my best!!

    Lent starting next week on 5th March, Ash Wednesday, and ending on Thursday 17th April seem to have come at the right time to help me stay on the fasting bandwagon and regain that focus 💪

    USA. Day 28. FD500

    I succeeded at my FD500 and shut the kitchen down! I was very busy today, so that helped. Tomorrow I will be very busy, too, so I hope to try another FD500. Fasting is always easier, if you can keep busy and our minds off food.

    Penz, you are so right. I am about to do the same thing, as I got my car insurance bill today

    Excelsior12309,I am pleased to hear that your son in law has had a successful surgery. I am so glad that his tumor was successfully removed.

    I can’t believe February is over already. I only lost 3 lbs. this month due to the fact that I went on a roller Coaster ride losing and gaining back some pounds. With Spring being near and gardening and golf on the horizon, I think I will be able to use that exercise to my benefit and as a distraction from food!

Also the dodgy link they posted – myonlineclass – which has nothing to do with diet or fasting. You lost 3 lb in Feb – that’s no small feat, well done! 🎯

    Completed a motivating B2B FD800 x 5 and lost 1.5kg since last Saturday’s weigh in – setting me up feeling positive for a good March – back at 64.1kg this morning so some 3kg still to lose until I’m back in my happy place…..

    If @lilymartin hasn’t posted by this evening (UK time) I will pull together a March Challenge – any ideas for a suitable name??

    Today will be a OMAD day as we have friends over for dinner – will be aiming for some sort of control but have a CD planned for tomorrow to make up for it…..might even join @funshipfreddie on his regular Sunday FD ☺️ as my plan for March is to aim for 3 x FD800 each week

    USA DAy 28 + 1 FD500 (March)

    Today I am trying for another FD500. Thank you AT for offering to step in. I hope lilymartin is okay. I like Mindful March. Sounds like a good name to me!

    I haven’t weighed myself yet. I knew I was down only 3 lbs. for February, so I want to give myself enough speed in March before I take another peek. 😊

    Thank you, FUNSHIPFREDDIE! I hope to lose at least that much in March. March is going to be a busy month for me. That should help in keeping my mind off stress and food. Maybe if I stop watching the news, I might decrease some of my stress!🤗

    I have been reading about stress eating, getting some good ideas. When I was younger, I could go for a run and that solved it for me. Now I walk with a cane and couldn’t even run away from someone trying to attack me. On the other hand, canes makes excellent weapons! lol.

    I will check back later. Maybe if I do that at the end of each day, too, after I have completed my fast, I will hold myself more accountable.

    Day 1 of March/(28+1) -USA/GA – NFD

    Weigh-in: 237 lbs. Sunday should be my next FD before the conference starts Monday. Weight went up a pound this week. I think I have to look carefully at my NFD snacking and eliminate that.

    As it’s now the end of Day 1 in Western Australia where @lilymartin lives I’m assuming that for some reason she’s been unable to set up the March Challenge – Please let us know that you are OK 🤗
    I’m going to post the “Mindful March Challenge” hoping that she doesn’t mind that I stepped in…….
