  • So I have been doing 5:2 and I have lost weight, reduced my carbs and on other days
Limit my cals. Am puzzled why my morning blood sugars are often above 130 even when befor bed it is around 90. I even still take my metformin and glipizide too. I might eat about 30-45 carbs at dinner but stop at 8pm and have taken my metformin and glipizide. I have had diabetes for probably 20 years. So why do my blood sugars rise at night??? I am sure this is an endocrinologist question.

I think is about this: The Dawn Phenomenon https://intensivedietarymanagement.com/dawn-phenomenon-t2d-8/
