  • I started this on Sunday but am planning to attempt 4:3 to begin with to kickstart weightloss. I have my Mums 50th mid March so am hoping to have lost a substantial amount by then.

I had heard of 5:2 but knew nothing about it until New Years Eve when I happened to be talking to a friend who is a Dr. they were saying how 5:2 as a lifestyle is actually becoming recommended by the NHS so I thought why not give it a try.
Researched quite a lot over the weekend and looked up recipes and I am really excited about it all.
I fasted yesterday and doing today as well, other than a few stomach rumbles this morning I have actually been finding it ok and not as hard as I thought.

Weigh in will be Saturday after my 3rd fast day on Friday, fingers crossed my first week will be successful!

Hi mayfield13, I’m new to this lifestyle as well. Today actually marks exactly one week and a 3lb loss. I’ve been alternating days instead of only doing 2 a week. The fasting days for me have gotten easier as I do them. My fast yesterday I had low calorie soup and it made the world of a difference. I highly suggest looking into that to help keep you feeling full and satisfied on fast days. Good luck with your jouney, hang in there!
