  • It may be a bit soon for me to be thinking about it, my first fast day is Monday, however, what would you say about doing more than just 2 days of fasting. Is there any benefit from doing 3 instead of 2? Has anyone got any good or bad experiences or wise words to knock silly thoughts out of my head. If it is something that someone with quite a bit of weight to lose could think about, is it something you start straight away or work yourself into it? I’m not looking to lose lots of weight really fast, just slow and steady, I want this to be a long term thing.

    Thanks 🙂

    Hi weaver and welcome:

I believe you should walk before you try to run. If you can successfully do 5:2 for 8 weeks and still want to do 4:3 after 16 successful diet days, then go for it. Until then, work on doing your two diet days each week successfully. 5:2 is unlike anything you have tried before, and it will take your body awhile to get used to it. Here are some tips: https://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/the-basics-for-newbies-your-questions-answered/

    Good Luck!

    Hiya,

Thanks for the advice, sounds like the logical way to go about it so in 8 weeks I’ll see how its going

    Thanks 🙂
