I’m fairly disciplined and have done days-long water fasts in the past. How would it be if I ate absolutely nothing on fast days and only hydrated? Would it be better, worse, or have no effect whatsoever (good nor bad)?
I think that water fasting is not only better but easier to do. I’m amazed that people can make it through a day eating just a little. Once I start eating it is difficult, if I just don’t eat it is much easier.

Agreed. The benefits are substantial. Just make sure you remain hydrated. I water fast as well. If you can do it, go for it.
