  • I’m a very short man — about 5’2″/158 cm — and looking at different online calculators, my TDEE is about 2000. Even if I overestimated my activity level a bit–I think I’m somewhere between lightly & moderately active but probably closer to lightly–I’d have an estimated TDEE of about 2250. Today’s my first fast day and I’m thinking about my upcoming meal. Is there enough of a difference in male/female metabolism that I should be sticking to the same 600-calorie guidelines as a man of average height–5’10” / 178 cm–rather than 500 calories or even a little lower?

    Hi Davido,

You can go ahead and consume as many calories you want. In my fast days, I’ve been consuming around 400-520 calories and they really rock on. There’s no hard and fast rule for this.

Outwardly the less you consume, the more you are expected to loose. There are many people who doesn’t consume anything on their fast days.

    Thanks Krishna!
