Oily urine

Ok, not the most pleasant of subjects, but has anyone else noticed a thin film of oil which appears on top of urine in the toilet on the day after a fast day? I’ve googled it and there’s lots of conflicting information out there, but seems it may be a side effect of the body running on ketones. Seems counterproductive that the body would excrete a calorie rich substance like oil when in starvation mode, but I’m hoping this is nothing to be concerned about?

Check out the ideal protein section of the 3 fat chicks forum. I remember them discussing this a couple of months ago. Ask them about it.

no expert but I thought this was a good sign that your body was using stored fat. not great to stay in that mode for long term. I believe it has something to do with high protein but again not an expert just I read something about it. think it was to do with atkins diet.
