The daily limit seems far too high

  • The regular daily limit for calorific intake according the calculator seems far too high. Even when I include my booze intake, I almost never get near the 2,600 limit suggested. My daily calorific intake is closer to the lower figure of 1750 so statistically I should be emaciated! I have calculated my calorie intake aggressively upwards and profiled my diet so I am confident I rarely exceed this lower limit.

    So how to fast? What limit should I set myself.

    I also find BMI totally confusing. According to the BMI, I am obese but clearly I am not.

    Sounds like you are one of those exercise alot with lots of muscle mass?

    Maybe. I do some exercise and am athletic in build but I do want to moderate my weight as I gave up smoking 8 days ago and do not want to bulk up. I guess it will be 600 on fast days but that’s easy for me.
