  • Hi all I started the 5:2 on Monday and although I can normally go through to 3pm without thinking about food (which is such a no no with other diets I have tried.) I found that I spent the whole morning thinking of nothing but food, fortunately day two of the 500 calories has been a lot easier apart from trying to find a reliable website that can be trusted with the calorific values. I have had such differences such as a plain 2 medium sized egg omlette has ranged from 130- 170 calories and carrots 32-41 calories per 100gm. I would appreciate any advice.

Hello Youngsludge all I can say it only gets easier (fasting and calorie counting 🙂 )

I recommend http://www.myfitnesspal.com/ but even there it will be differences, because it all depends what you call medium egg or carrot. If you want to be very precise you need to weight your food. good luck! xxx

Hi issu thank you :). The site looks easy enough to navigate I will give it a go.

I have also been looking at http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk

I have brought myself a new electric scales to weight out the food and I have been using them, it just gets confusing when different sites state different values, think I need to pick one and stand by that alone.
